The Correct Method for Using Anti-Loosening Nuts

When using anti-loosening nuts, many people are unsure which side should face inward and which should face outward. In reality, the proper usage of anti-loosening nuts is quite simple. Typically, an anti-loosening nut features a groove; this groove should be oriented toward the direction requiring fixation. This alignment allows the groove to engage properly with the screw threads, thereby fulfilling its anti-loosening function.

Furthermore, when tightening an anti-loosening nut, a wrench should be applied with moderate force. Excessive force must be avoided, as this can easily deform the nut and compromise its locking effectiveness.

Do not tighten the anti-loosening nut prematurely; allow the bolt and nut to seat naturally against each other before proceeding to tighten them.

Anti-loosening nuts have a limited service life; they should not be subjected to excessive tightening or repeated loosening and re-tightening.

The tightening torque applied to an anti-loosening nut must be moderate; applying too much or too little force will negatively impact its performance.
